El Grup de Velers RC IKARUS, club decano del vuelo de ladera en Cataluña, invita a todos los clubes y aeromodelistas de la comunidad volovelística al III OPEN INTERNACIONAL CATALUNYA-SANTA COLOMA, prueba de la modalidad F3F que se celebrará en la ladera de Santa Coloma de Gramenet (Barcelona) los próximos días 28 de febrero y 1 de marzo de 2009. La prueba se realizará bajo el reglamento FAI F3F.
Esta prueba, incluida en el calendario de la Liga Catalana de F3F 2009 i de la Federación Aérea Internacional (FAI), llega a su tercera edición este año alcanzando dimensión internacional, con el propósito de dar cabida a la participación y a la difusión de las competiciones de F3F entre todos los aeromodelistas europeos. A su vez, pretende servir como punto de reencuentro entre los aficionados que habitualmente participan en las competiciones de ladera.
Este III OPEN se desarrollará en la ladera de Puig Castellar (Turó del Pollo), en la población barcelonesa de Santa Coloma de Gramenet, colindante con la ciudad de Barcelona.
Los concursantes, en todo caso, deberán acreditar que tienen cubierta su responsabilidad civil con motivo de su participación en la prueba.
El club organizador hará entrega a los participantes de un recuerdo conmemorativo y otorgará trofeos a los mejores clasificados.
III CATALUNYA – SANTA COLOMA INTERNATIONAL OPEN F3F CONTEST
General
Grup de Velers RC IKARUS of Santa Coloma de Gramenet invites all interested model pilots of F3F slope racing to participate in the third edition of the Open Catalunya - Santa Coloma F3F contest, which has been included in the international calendar FAI 2009. It will take place on 28th February and 1st March in the slopes of Puig Castellar, in the town of Santa Coloma de Gramenet, near Barcelona.
The slope of the competition is placed in the Natural Parc of the Serralada de Marina, in the coastal mountains that surround the city of Barcelona. The southeastern slope offers a spectacular view to the area of Barcelona and the coast. On the other side, northwestern slope allows you to have a nice look at the inner Catalunya region and the Pyrenee’s summits in clear days.
The organization has planned to deliver commemorative presents to all participants and trophies to the winners. Please, specify the size (XL or XXL) of the pilot’s T-shirt in the item “comments” of the application form.
To participate in the contest, you need to fill out the application form.The deadline to enrol is February 20th. A maximum of 40 pilots will be accepted. Nevertheless, organization keeps the right to invite more pilots in special circumstances. The contest fee is 35 euros (nice T-shirt included), which have to be paid in the bank account of the organizing club. The pilot’s surname and the reference ‘OPEN 2009’ must be included in the banker’s order. Competitors have to make sure that money transfer cost will not be charged to the organizers (receivers).

The date and hour of the banking entry determines the order of inscriptions and the preference in the allocation of frequencies. The deadline to receive the bank order is February 22th. The final list will be published in the website on February 23th.
Picnic
The organization can supply participants with drinks and picnic on Saturday and Sunday (6 euros by picnic). Picnic will include 2 sandwiches to choose, drink and two pieces of fruit. Picnics must be ordered and paid within the inscription.
Important: the chosen sandwiches must be specified in the item “comments” of the inscription form.
Lodging and evening meal
The organization has blocked in advance a certain quantity of rooms for the participants and his family/helpers in a well-communicated hotel near the competition area. The competition dinner will be celebrated in this hotel on Saturday, at 21:00 o’clock
Take into account that each participant must book directly (by phone) his room.

To book the rooms, you must indicate that the reference is ‘IKARUS’. There are a limited number of rooms available, so it is very important to book as soon as possible.

The competition dinner costs 35 euros per person and must be reserved and paid with the inscription.The chosen menu (fish or meat as a second course) and the number of participants (adults/child) must also be specified in the inscription form.

1st- “Pica – pica”
2nd- Dish to be chosen (baked gilt-head/ roast lamb)
Desert (catalan caramelized custard cream), drinks and coffee.
